Baptism Service
One of the highlights of both trips to Russia was being present at the yearly baptism service. We stood for about 4 hours at the river...heard 3 sermons...lots of singing and praising of the Lord. The people that were baptised had spent at least a year working with the church before they were allowed to be baptised. There were all women the first year...but, praise the Lord there were men & women the second year. After each person was baptized, as they came out of the river, the people would sing a beautiful praise chorus. It sounded like heaven's angels singing before God; an experience of a lifetime.
